She handles staff training and, more specifically, provides them with the information they need to comply with the policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> The manager is also responsible for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sending an acknowledgment of receipt to the complainant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sending required notices to the complainant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sending the file to the AMF, if requested by the complainant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submitting an annual report to the AMF.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10)\">\n<header class=\"wp-block-group alignwide has-global-padding is-content-justification-right is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-02f5d51a wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--3)\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Complaint analysis process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-subtitle is-style-subtitle--4\">Throughout the complaint process, the firm and the complainant will communicate with each other in an effort to resolve the dispute and find a solution that is satisfactory to both parties.<\/p>\n<\/header>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignwide has-global-padding is-content-justification-right is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-f1f2ed93 wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\"><section class=\"align wp-block-cke-accordions is-layout-flow wp-block-cke-accordions-is-layout-flow\" >\n\t<div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n<article class=\"alignfull wp-block-cke-accordion-item is-layout-flow wp-block-cke-accordion-item-is-layout-flow\">\n\t<div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<header class=\"align wp-block-cke-accordion-head is-layout-flow wp-block-cke-accordion-head-is-layout-flow\">\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-cke-accordion-head__ctn is-layout-flow\">\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Receiving a complaint<\/h3>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-cke-accordion-head_toggle\"><i class=\"fa-sharp fa-chevron-down\"><\/i><\/i><\/div>\n<\/header>\n\t\n\n<article class=\"align wp-block-cke-accordion-body is-layout-flow wp-block-cke-accordion-body-is-layout-flow\">\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-cke-accordion-body__ctn is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>A consumer who wishes to file a complaint must do so in writing, sending it to the following address:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AMR Assurances Multi-Risques Inc.<br \/>1910, King Ouest, Office 300<br \/>Sherbrooke, Qu\u00e9bec J1J 2E2<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Upon receipt of a complaint, the person responsible for processing it will send the complainant, within five days of receipt, an acknowledgment containing the following information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A description of the complaint received specifying the harm suffered or potential harm, the complaint against the firm and the request for corrective action<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The name and contact information of the person responsible for processing the complaint.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the case of an incomplete complaint, a notice with a request for additional information, to which the complainant must respond within 30 days; failing this, the complaint will be considered abandoned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A copy of the policy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A notice informing the complainant of their right to request, if they are not satisfied with the outcome of the handling of their complaint or the handling itself, upon expiration of the 30-day period for the firm&#8217;s final response. If the complainant does not exceed the period of one year allotted upon receipt of this response, they may request the transfer of their case to the AMF.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The notice shall also state that the AMF may offer mediation if it deems it appropriate and if the parties consent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A notice reminding the complainant that mediation is an out-of-court settlement process in which a third person (the mediator) works with the parties to help them come to a satisfactory agreement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A notice informing the complainant that filing a complaint with the AMF does not interrupt the statute of limitations on their appeals against the firm in the civil courts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n\n\n<article class=\"alignfull wp-block-cke-accordion-item is-layout-flow wp-block-cke-accordion-item-is-layout-flow\">\n\t<div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<header class=\"align wp-block-cke-accordion-head is-layout-flow wp-block-cke-accordion-head-is-layout-flow\">\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-cke-accordion-head__ctn is-layout-flow\">\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creating a complaint file<\/h3>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-cke-accordion-head_toggle\"><i class=\"fa-sharp fa-chevron-down\"><\/i><\/i><\/div>\n<\/header>\n\t\n\n<article class=\"align wp-block-cke-accordion-body is-layout-flow wp-block-cke-accordion-body-is-layout-flow\">\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-cke-accordion-body__ctn is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>A separate file is required for each case. The file must include the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The complainant\u2019s written complaint, including the three elements of the complaint (the complaint against the firm, the actual or potential harm, and the corrective action requested).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The outcome of the complaint processing (the analysis and supporting documentation).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A copy of the firm\u2019s final written response, with an explanation, that was sent to the complainant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n\n\n<article class=\"alignfull wp-block-cke-accordion-item is-layout-flow wp-block-cke-accordion-item-is-layout-flow\">\n\t<div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<header class=\"align wp-block-cke-accordion-head is-layout-flow wp-block-cke-accordion-head-is-layout-flow\">\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-cke-accordion-head__ctn is-layout-flow\">\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Processing the complaint<\/h3>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-cke-accordion-head_toggle\"><i class=\"fa-sharp fa-chevron-down\"><\/i><\/i><\/div>\n<\/header>\n\t\n\n<article class=\"align wp-block-cke-accordion-body is-layout-flow wp-block-cke-accordion-body-is-layout-flow\">\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-cke-accordion-body__ctn is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>When a complaint is received, the firm must conduct an investigation. The complaint will be processed within a reasonable period of time, which is 30 days after receipt of all the information necessary to investigate the complaint.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n\n\n<article class=\"alignfull wp-block-cke-accordion-item is-layout-flow wp-block-cke-accordion-item-is-layout-flow\">\n\t<div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<header class=\"align wp-block-cke-accordion-head is-layout-flow wp-block-cke-accordion-head-is-layout-flow\">\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-cke-accordion-head__ctn is-layout-flow\">\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sending the case to the AMF (if necessary)<\/h3>\n\n<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-cke-accordion-head_toggle\"><i class=\"fa-sharp fa-chevron-down\"><\/i><\/i><\/div>\n<\/header>\n\t\n\n<article class=\"align wp-block-cke-accordion-body is-layout-flow wp-block-cke-accordion-body-is-layout-flow\">\n\t<div class=\"wp-block-cke-accordion-body__ctn is-layout-flow\">\n\n<p>If the complainant is not satisfied with the result of the handling of their complaint or with the handling itself, they may request that the firm transfer their file to the AMF. This right may be exercised by the complainant only after the expiration of the time limit for obtaining a final response, not to exceed a period of one year from the date of receipt of such response. The transferred file shall include all documents relating to the complaint. Compliance with privacy rules remains the responsibility of the firm.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"margin-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10);margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--10)\">\n<header class=\"wp-block-group alignwide has-global-padding is-content-justification-left is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-3cdadb1c wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"margin-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--3)\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creating and maintaining a complaint log<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-subtitle is-style-subtitle--5\">We have created a complaint log to apply the policy. The person in charge of it is responsible for implementing and maintaining it.
