The independent insurance broker’s firm signs an agreement with Wawanesa
Assurances Multi-Risques (AMR) welcomes, as of today, 12,000 new clients derived from Wawanesa’s distribution network. Now boasting some 18,000 clients, AMR has become the biggest independent insurance broker’s firm in the Eastern Townships. The Quebec firm is among the 11 independent insurance broker’s firms who have signed an agreement with Wawanesa, who is currently trading direct distribution services for brokerage services in Quebec.
The Sherbrooke business will be taking over Wawanesa’s offices in Granby in order to serve the city’s clientele. AMR will also be taking charge of several client lists from Montreal’s east end Wawanesa offices, while Wawanesa’s Sherbrooke clientele will be transferred to AMR’s offices situated on King Street West.
Christopher Johnson, AMR’s president and founder, is very proud of this business agreement. “This transaction is the springboard that will allow us to become one of Quebec’s most prominent insurance firms and to create even more jobs in our region while upholding our core values, i.e. continuing to offer our clients impartial insurance choices. We are also very proud to be welcoming into our team several former members of the Wawanesa firm”, says Mr. Johnson.
Indeed, Wawanesa’s Sherbrooke, Granby, and Montreal’s east end branches insurance agents were offered the possibility of joining AMR as independent brokers. In business since 2007, AMR is an independent insurance broker’s firm specializing in car, home, business and farm insurance who, until today, employed some 20 liability insurance professionals.
